In the late morning after arriving in Juneau, Sam and I were transported to the seaplane harbor for our shore excursion: the Taku Lodge Feast and Five Glacier Discovery Tour. There, we boarded a float plane for a 25 minute flight over the mountains and glaciers to Taku Lodge for a wonderful salmon lunch. Two hours later, our pilot returned for us and followed a route along the Taku River Inlet back to Juneau. Mainly because of the fine weather, it was an amazing unforgetable experience.
Later in the afternoon, we met our friend, Billy Shaw, for coffee and some catching up since we had last seen him more than a year ago.
